This is one of the four Implementation institutes with unique strategies for Dual credit courses.

The ability to help students gain college credit while still in high school is an exciting optional component of Get Focused...Stay Focused!®. If your high school freshman transition course has been designed to be a dual credit course in the form of either dual enrollment or articulation, this institute will provide planning, implementation, and instructional strategies unique to this format.

Using the college edition of the Career Choices series, Career Choices and Changes, participants will deep-dive into the content with a chapter-by-chapter tour. At the same time, you’ll be exposed to the pedagogy required for this comprehensive guidance course and learn how to integrate My10yearPlan.com® so you can meet the rigorous requirements of a college course with your high school students.

In addition, you’ll review the classroom strategies of using the Get Focused...Stay Focused!® Follow-up Modules in the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, along with ideas for providing dual credit for this work.

Who Should Attend?
  • High School Instructors of Dual credit Courses using the Career Choices and Changes text.
