Session Descriptions

Session One
What is the Get Focused...Stay Focused!® Model?

Session Two
The Freshman Course: Helping Students Get Focused from the Start
Over the course of the first day, you will learn strategies to plan and launch your Get Focused freshman course with success through this deep-dive, chapter-by-chapter walk through of the freshman text, Career Choices and Changes, and online My10yearPlan.com®. The goal of this strand is to equip you with a thorough understanding of what it takes to help every single student Get Focused!

Session Three
The Get Focused...Stay Focused!® Follow-up Modules
The 10th, 11th, and 12th grade curriculum will be explored with suggestions for how to integrate these supplemental, academically-based lessons. By the time students complete this material, designed to be integrated into academic classes, they have a chosen career pathway, an informed major, and a Skills-based Education Plan.
